Maison de la Chasse

On the Museum of British Folklore Newsletter - which l heartily recommend - is a description of the  Maison de la Chasse et de la Nature, in Paris.    It looks how a museum should look - a place of mystery and fascination.

Warthog

I have developed an affection for warthogs lately.   It might be because our family dog Bindi looks surprisingly like a warthog - in a certain light.   She has a moustache rather than tusks though.    I am sketching some warthogs just now.

Farewell Winter, Hello Spring!

It maybe premature but that is the  title of our upcoming exhibition at Snap.    Snap is a gallery and screenprint workshop, but also a studio l share with eight others, based in Bristol.   We change shows every few months and invite one artist to show with us each time.   This time Jane Ormes will be showing prints with us.    This cockerel is called Clucking Hell - More Eggs.    It seems confused...
The preview evening is on Thurs 10th Feb - all welcome, and we are making up some decal tattoos to give away on the night - being as it is February, it's a tiny incentive to go out in the cold.

Safe II

I have printed second editions of a couple of prints recently, this one 'Safe' is one of them.      I was not sure what the rules were with second editions, but it seems that a second edition is allowed but it needs to be different in some (noticable) way from the first, and it should be marked as a second edition, done with a roman numeral II after the edition number.    I'll put the original up for comparison as well.  The new one is the top one.
