I have been lucky enough to be involved in a project with several others at Centrespace, where I have my Studio. Through funding from Bristol City Council, l have been illustrating buildings in Bristol's Old City area, for a walking map and historical guide that follows the route of the original Saxon city wall, which although it no longer exists, the streets still follow the course of the wall.
This image is of Broad Street and shows the Church of Saint John in the Wall, the now defunkt NHS walk in Centre, and the ornate Art Nouveau Everards Printing Works. In the background is a building on Nelson Street, home of See No Evil, Bristol's street art festival. I like the the way buildings from all different periods are all put together in Bristol in an apparently random manner. It is part of what gives the City its character.
